Singer Grimes ‘electrocuted’ on stage by her earpieces during performance of Butterfly

Of all the equipment malfunctions a singer could suffer on stage, this is one to make you wince.

Singer Grimes suffered a horrible surprise during a gig in Dublin when she was given a hefty electric shock through her earpieces.

The 27-year-old was performing at the Olympia Theatre when disaster struck – she was midway through the chorus of Butterfly when she suddenly doubled over in pain and was seen clutching her ears.

The singer apologised to her fans for the shocking interruption, and said she’d also suffered a broken pedal during a problem-riddled performance.

Thank God she's ok.
