The elder statesman is reported to have given up the ghost on Monday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos after a brief illness.
He was founder of the Nigerian Advance Party (NAP) and was a delegate at the 2014 Nigeria National Conference where he canvassed for a Confederal Constitution to replace the 1999 Constitution.
